My real tree in many years! The last time we had a real tree for the new year was when I was ten, Nothing can compare to its smell and shape which is not so perfect as that of the plastic trees but more endearing! Unfortunately the only tinsel I had when decorating was red ;-)

We had for many years a real one on my backyard apart from the fake one inside my house. We used to decorate both of them every year untill one day the real one it was so big my mum didn't have almost any light in her room (bc it was in fron of her window, 3 meters away), then she decided to cut it off.
It's sad to have to cut trees, I think it was really nice when you have a real tree outside and don't have to feel guilty you bought a real tree that has been cut and would have lived otherwise...
